Drawn foliage is not always enough to make an invitation feel rustic. What often makes the difference is what you can touch. Our premium recycled paper, made from 100% recycled fibres, carries the natural feel through to the card itself. Our creation paper, inspired by drawing paper and of the same 300 gsm weight, is the one we recommend for illustrated designs.
The same goes for ribbons. On designs that offer one, linen ribbon, natural cord or pink and white baker's twine suit an outdoor celebration well. They are sold in packs of 10. You may also like our invitations with twine, with dried flowers or on recycled paper.
Among our new designs, Tonnelle sums up the spirit of this collection. Delicate foliage, ferns and a few birds surround your calligraphed initials. In its trifold version (13.5 x 19 cm), a central panel sits between two folding side panels, which a ribbon can keep closed.
The same illustration is available as an arch, a double-sided portrait card or a folded bookmark with a photo-booth strip (9.5 x 21 cm). English garden and Germinal are also among our new rustic designs.
For Tonnelle, the matching range goes from the save the date to the thank-you card, including the programme fan, the welcome sign, the table plan, menus, place cards and bottle labels. Your guests find the same foliage from the envelope to the dinner table.
The two styles often overlap, but they do not tell the same story. Rustic looks to gardens and fields: wildflowers, greenery, linen. Boho goes for pampas grass, terracotta and arch shapes. If you are unsure, start from your venue and your bouquet: the invitation will follow.
