Every December morning, a window opens onto a memory: the personalised advent calendar swaps chocolate for your photos, and becomes a print once the countdown is over.
The idea follows the traditional advent calendar, but behind each numbered window hides a photo rather than a chocolate. Day after day, your loved ones rediscover a moment from the past year: a family celebration, a holiday, an everyday moment. Children enjoy the ritual of the countdown, adults the memories.
Once all the windows are open, the calendar's sleeve opens like a present to reveal a real photo poster. It looks its best in a solid oak frame or on an oak poster hanger, both offered as accessories on the product page. So the calendar does not end up with the wrapping paper: it stays on the wall long after the holidays.
On Traîneau de Noël, one of our new designs, offered in a limited edition, the calendar is printed on ivory creation paper, a matt 300 gsm paper, and enhanced with hot foil.
For children, illustrated designs with Christmas trees, Father Christmas or little animals keep the magic going: have a look at Amis de la forêt or Carrousel magique. For adults, a more understated design on a kraft or fir-green background, such as Golden Times - Kraft or Golden Times - Sapin, fits more easily with home decor.
Allow twenty-four pictures for the windows, and take extra care with your selection, keeping in mind the final poster that will stay on the wall. Alternate big moments, such as a wedding, a birth or a birthday, with everyday scenes. Dig into your phone's gallery too: plenty of good photos are sleeping there. Finally, choose sharp, well-exposed shots, as printing cannot rescue a blurred image.
